Aurogen started in Punalur, a small town in Kerala, India, with almost nothing. No investors, no loans, no mortgages. Just a dream, a habit of spending little, and the nerve to take the next risk. Today the group serves customers around the world, and there are still plenty of miles to go.
Paise to rupees. Rupees to crores. And onward.
We built this the slow way. A few paise became a few rupees. A few rupees became thousands, then lakhs, then crores. A million is in sight now. A billion is the goal, and it will not be the last one. Every rung has been paid for by the one below it, never by outside money. The dream is what keeps us climbing.
Four habits we don't break.
Completely independent
No investors, no loans, no mortgages. Aurogen is bootstrapped and self made, and we intend to keep it that way. What funds the next step is the work, and the dream behind it.
Spend little, risk well
Frugal by habit. We keep costs low and take the risks that actually move us up a rung. We study how the people who built great companies did it, and treat their principles as our playbook.
A small team, a whole world
We are a lean crew with people in several countries. Automation carried us early; today the group runs on AI and current tooling end to end. That is how a small team serves this many customers, faster and cheaper, without cutting quality.
Give back to open source
Our work stands on open-source software. We support the communities and projects behind it, and every venture we run aims to be the best in its class at a price that undercuts the incumbents.
One dashboard runs the group.
Since 2017 we have been building Memento, the internal system every business plugs into. Hosting provisioning and support, the stays' bookings and housekeeping, the plantations' harvest and grading, and the finance, banking and reconciliation behind all of it, report to one screen.
It started as a handful of scripts. Today it is an AI-assisted core that watches the whole operation, handles the routine itself, and flags only what needs a person. It is also where the group's numbers come from: one count of accounts across every sector, hosting to homestay. That is how a small team runs businesses across six sectors, and onboards a new one in days: connect its data, set its rules, and it appears alongside the rest.

Newest first. Ucartz came before all of it, and everything since has been built with the dream and the money we earned, never money we raised.

Ucartz is still the largest business in the group, which is bootstrapped and independent. A million in sight, a billion the goal, and miles to go.

We buy land in Kazhakuttam, Trivandrum, Kerala, for Ucartz's corporate office, and for what becomes Urban Loft Inn.

The businesses are brought under one registered company. Aurogen Innovations Private Limited is incorporated on 13 March 2024.
Beach Walk
A short-stay home opens near Technopark, Trivandrum, Kerala, listed on Airbnb. The group's first step into hospitality.
AI, end to end
The week OpenAI's ChatGPT API went live, on 1 March 2023, we built it into Memento. Automation gives way to AI across every business; the same small team now does far more, for less.
Antbae, in the UAE
A second IT business is incorporated in Ras Al Khaimah, in the UAE, on 3 February 2022, serving clients across the Middle East.

Ucartz Online Pvt. Ltd. is incorporated on 3 June 2017. The same year we start building Memento and push automation across everything Ucartz does: provisioning, monitoring, backups, billing.
